Hi, I’m Stacey Williams-Ng and I’m the author and illustrator of Astrojammies. I’m very pleased to have met the Demibooks team and to be working with them on this project that I’ve had in my sketchbooks for so many years. Astrojammies is the story of an imaginative little boy who believes his pajamas to be magical. Jimmy’s jammies are able to transport him into outer space, a place teeming with adventure and thrills.
Now that the story is written, the work I’m doing now is all in the illustrations. It’s been great to see Jimmy come to life in paint, especially with a view towards adding lots of special effects… that’s what makes the iPad format so exciting. Right now I’m enjoying painting Jimmy in all different angles, so young readers can interact with him by poking, touching and moving Jimmy through space.
Looks like a fun project can’t wait to see what comes next.
