We’re happy to announce some exciting updates to Demibooks Composer, our flagship authoring tool for interactive content. First, Demibooks Composer Pro went live today in App Stores globally! You can download it for Free for a limited time until early April.
Those of you who are actively creating a book app for the App Store in Composer 1.1, don’t worry. You have until Sept 1st to finish your project and submit it to Printshop. Alternatively if you have just started your project in Composer 1.1, consider migrating to Composer Pro to take advantage of it’s many new features. Unfortunately you will not be able to export your DCB from Composer 1.1 and import it into Composer Pro, as the latter does not support the Import DCB function. You can, however, start a new book project in Composer Pro by adding your media files (images, sound, music, video etc) via Dropbox or iTunes.
Need some help getting started? Here is an overview of the key new features in Composer Pro. Visit our website for all the links to Pro User Guide, tutorial videos, as well as to join our GetSatisfaction support forum. If you have any difficulties whatsoever with this transition to from Composer 1.1 to Composer Pro, please email our support team.
Good news comes in threes and our final announcement is the upcoming availability of a subscription service that bundles software and support. By signing up for the subscription, you will have a receive updates of our new product, Composer Studio, with the latest features and full DCB Import/Export. You will also get access to premium support such as detailed topical training videos which will be invaluable when learning the new features. If you need publishing credits, App Store updates and additional direct support hours, you can purchase these easily. Publishing to the App Store will remain at $249/title. We expect to launch the new Printshop
